Dear Potential New Member,
I want to congratulate you on joining one of the most spirited, academically driven, and enthusiastic Universities out there! The University of Washington gives its students countless opportunities to take unique academic courses, to compete in athletics nationally or for fun against other students, and to join over 800 different types of clubs and organizations. Among these opportunities is the choice to become a part of the UW Greek Community. Going Greek is so much more than joining a social club! Joining this community will give you a number of amazing things--sisters who have your back and will support you no matter what, an incredible home away from home, leadership opportunities, a way to give back to the community through philanthropic activities, and resources to help you excel academically and personally. I can honestly say that going Greek is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
Thinking back on my experiences at UW so far, many of my favorite memories involve my sorority and those within it. The friendships that I made within Zeta Tau Alpha will last a lifetime and the skills I have attained have been extremely useful both inside and outside of my academic life. The women who I am fortunate enough to call my sisters genuinely care about one another and inspire me to be a better person every day. Whether it’s hanging out in our rooms, going to the library to study, walking to class together, getting ready for formal, or making a day trip to downtown Seattle, I value the time I get to spend with my sisters. I am so proud to be a Zeta and am beyond thankful for these women and the inspirational ways they have influenced my life.
Recruitment, whether through Primary Recruitment or through Continuous Open Bidding, is such an exciting experience. Although it may seem overwhelming at times, remember that every woman in our chapter, as well as in every other chapter, was once in your shoes. I am so excited for Primary Recruitment 2021, and I cannot wait to meet you all in September. Finding a sisterhood just for you is an amazing experience, and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.
Go Dawgs, Go Greek, & Go Zeta!
